Dr. Jason Tibbels Executive Hospice Physician Dr. Jason Tibbels is playing an integral role in advancing our commitment to excellence and innovation in palliative medicine. A strong belief in the importance of hospice and palliative care led him to fully dedicate his practice to caring for the terminally ill. This area of medicine has always been a passion for him and he is grateful for the opportunity to serve both the patient and family during an important time in their lives. Growing up in Decatur, Texas, Dr. Tibbels watched his father, Dr. Kelley Tibbels, model the importance of a caring physician. After graduating summa cum laude from the University of North Texas, he went on to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He was named to the prestigious AOA Medical Honor Society and was also the recipient of the Texas Academy of Family Physicians Outstanding Graduate Award. He is board certified in family medicine as well as hospice and palliative medicine.

Dr. C. Kelley Tibbels Chief Hospice Physician Dr. Tibbels’ practice is in a modern family centered medical clinic where there is a full range of family medicine and surgery. With over 20 years of medical outpatient practice, hospital practice, surgical, emergency room, and obsetrical experience, he brings a full range of medical care to his patients. Dr. Tibbels says, “Being a good and compassionate Family Physician was my ambition even as a youngster. I started thinking about being a doctor because my grandfather, Dr. Charles David Tibbels MD, practiced medicine in Black Rock, Arkansas, and although he died when I was a boy, he was an inspiration to me. I was encouraged by my family and friends to pursue a career in medicine. Currently, I am sustained after 25 years of practice by God, my family, and hundreds of patients who have put confidence in me as their Family Doctor. For that I am grateful.”
